Reaching Out
Matt. 5:13-16 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
MARK 16:15 Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
WHY DO WE HESITATE TO SHARE OUR FAITH?
1) WE ARE AFRAID.
2) WE DON’T FEEL QUALIFIED.
3) WE DON’T WANT TO BE PUSHY.
4) WE ARE COMPLACENT.
3 WAYS YOU CAN REACH OUT
1) YOU CAN USE WHAT YOU HAVE.
Luke 5:29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Start with what you have.
The more you SERVE others, the bigger difference you can make in the lives of others
2) YOU CAN INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH.
JOHN 4:28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
3) YOU CAN SHARE YOUR STORY.
John 9:25 He replied, “Whether [Jesus] is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
John 9:26-27 Then they asked him, “What did [Jesus] do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?
YOU HAVE TO TELL YOUR STORY MORE THAN JUST ONCE
