Build Your House On The Rock

What does it mean when the bible says to “Build Your House on the Rock”

Mat 7:24 “Everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation. 25 When the rains fell and the flood came, with fierce winds beating upon his house, it stood firm because of its strong foundation. :26 “But everyone who hears my teaching and does not apply it to his life can be compared to a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 When it rained and rained and the flood came, with wind and waves beating upon his house, it collapsed and was swept away.”
Those who hear principals of God’s word and apply them to their lives are considered wise master builders, Those who hear the principals of God’s word and for one reason or another chooses not to apply them to their lives are considered foolish.
The foolish end up being DECEIVED thinking their lives are pleasing to God when in actuality they are not!!

Psalms 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - If your alive today and hearing this message there is still hope and time to repent and begin building your life on the rock.
For many believers we simply must continue to allow God to speak to us and when he points out an area in our life that we need to make a change we must be humble enough to say.... Yep, I see that!!! I’m not proud of that!! I ask you to forgive me and help me grow in your grace in this area so I can apply the principal of your word to this area of my life.

God will never give us a command to do something and not give us the grace to do it!!! It may be difficult but we can do it!!

Romans 3:4 says Let God be true and every man a liar!!

Proverbs 19:11- "A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense."
OVERLOOK AN OFFENSE!!

KJV Pro 19:11 The discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his GLORY to PASS OVER a transgression.

Pro 19:11 A wise person demonstrates PATIENCE, for MERCY means holding your tongue. When you are insulted, be quick to forgive and FORGET IT, for you are VIRTEOUS when you overlook an offense.

***When we demonstrate PAITENCE with others, it is much easier to overlook an offense & show Mercy & Grace.
THE OPPOSITE OF PATIENCE IS “HURRY UP” “RUSH” “MAKE HASTE” - ALL OF THESE WILL HAVE THE OPPOSITE AFFECT THAN PATIENCE HAS.

Our Patience TOWARDS OTHERS allows time for God to work in US before we SIN AGAINST OUR BRETHERN BY reacting & saying or doing something that we can't take back.

Prov 19:11 “It is to MY GLORY to overlook an offense” (X 3)

When we overlook an offense, we are om essence adding glory to our lives – if you study this out the word actually mean– BECOMING AN ORNAMENT, (PUT ON DISPLAY)
(STUDY THIS WORD) When we overlook an offense God sees that act as beauty, He sees it as an act of bravery, comely, fair, glorious), worthy of Honour, God calls it majestic. BIG DEAL!!!!

ITS A BIG DEAL TO GOD!!! - IT’S OFTEN TIMES VERY DIFFICULT!! THE FLESH HATES TO OVERLOOK AN OFFENSE!!

DEVELOPS our ability to become slow to get angry!!

I HEARD IT SAID THIS WAY BY ONE MINISTER SPEAKING ON THIS SUBJECT WHEN IT COMES TO APPLY A TRUTH FROM GOD’S WORD TO SOME BELIEVERS LIFE THEY REPLY, WELL BROTHER... I’m sorry, that’s just me!! I’m just real, If I feel angry, YOUR GOING TO KNOW IT!!! I’m not going to pretend. I’m JUST Real!!!
YEA, You are REAL alright. Real Carnal!!! If we haven’t developed an ability to be angry and not sin in our anger we need to grow up.

It takes more maturity to be angry and no one but you and God ever know that you were angry THAN IT DOES TO JUST BLOW UP!! ANY ONE CAN LOOSE THEIR TEMPER!! IT TAKES SOMEONE WHO REFUSES TO GRIEVE TEH HOLY SPIRIT IN THEM TO GET CONTROL OF THEIR EMOTIONS AND JUST SAY TO THEMSELVES. I'M SURE THERES JUST SOMETHING I DON’T UNDERSTAND. I'M NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT THEY SAID OR DID. LORD I ASK YOU TO HELP THEM AND HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND BETTER!!!

Practice being quick to overlook an offensive word or action and you will FIND THAT YOU HAVE tamed your anger issue.

People ask God to help them with their anger issue and then God gives them a word like this and they don’t esteem it.

Listen dear heart a whole lot of God’s blessings lies within our willingness to allow the word to work in us.

People what someone to come lay their hands on them and cast it out but what they fail to understand is that you can't cast out the flesh...

Your flesh has to be brought under the control of your spirit.

Rom 8:6 For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace. :7 In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! :8 For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. :9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. This is where so many people's victories lie.

No, it’s not ALL in the supernatural that we find our victories MANY TIMES our victories are found within our obedience to OUR OWN spirit.
PUTTING OUR FLESH UNDER AND YIELDING TO GOD IN US INSTEAD OF OUR CARNAL NATURE.

James 1:19-20 - Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. [patient, reflective, forgiving]:20 for the [resentful, deep-seated] anger of man DOES NOT produce the Righteousness of God [that standard of behavior which He requires from ALL OF us].
